BE ACTIVE. BE STRONG. BE YOU.
Senior fitness classes in Riverside, CA — low-impact strength, balance and energy for adults 55 and over, guided by coaches who have your back, surrounded by people who get it.
Fitness that fits
your life at 55+
Active Fit 55+ is a supportive, low-impact senior fitness class for adults who want to stay active, strong and independent — no matter where you’re starting from. Think of it as a senior bootcamp without the pounding — coached group training that scales to you. Built for 55+ from the ground up — not a general fitness class with modifications.
We focus on the movement that matters in real life: getting up with ease, staying steady on your feet, carrying what you need, and keeping your energy up through the day. Every class is coached, scalable, and built around you — not the person next to you. You’ll train in socks or bare feet on clean, padded mats in a welcoming room at Flow Academy in Riverside.
Always talk with your doctor before starting a new exercise program. Our coaches will meet you at your level from day one.
Four ways we
keep you moving
Every class blends these four pillars, scaled to your pace. Tap through to see what each one looks like on the mat.
Agility & Balance
Steady feet change everything. We train balance, coordination and quick footwork — including agility-ladder drills — so you feel confident on your feet, on the mat and out in the world.
Resistance Training
Resistance bands, used the right way. We build the muscle that keeps daily life easy — carrying groceries, lifting a grandchild, climbing stairs — with joint-friendly, fully-scalable resistance you control.
Strength & Conditioning
Functional strength that shows up in real life. Guided, full-body movement with light dumbbells to help you feel capable and energized — built up gradually, at a pace that respects your body.
Low-Impact Interval
Get your heart working without the pounding. Short, gentle bursts — marching, step-touches and low-impact step-jacks, feet always on the floor — with plenty of recovery, a fun way to build stamina that’s kind to your knees, hips and back.

Some people call it a senior bootcamp. We just call it class.
That’s the phrase a lot of people type in, so let’s meet it honestly. A bootcamp means a coached group class with a plan and a start time — everybody works at once, a coach runs the room, and you don’t have to figure out the hour yourself. That part is exactly what Active Fit 55+ is.
What it doesn’t mean here: nobody yells, nobody calls out your reps, and nobody asks you to jump. Feet stay on the floor for the whole class. Strength comes from resistance bands, light dumbbells, and your own bodyweight, and every movement has an easier version a coach will show you the moment you need it.

Senior fitness questions, answered
Not at all. Active Fit is built for beginners and every level of ability. Coaches scale every movement to you, and there’s always a low-impact option. If you can move, you can start.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. We train in socks or bare feet on clean, padded mats, so you won’t need athletic shoes. Just bring a water bottle.
Your first class is always free. After that, membership is $150/month for 2 classes a week or $185/month for 3 classes a week — introductory pricing, subject to change. Come take the free class first and see how it feels; there’s never any pressure to join.
The low-impact kind. You get the structure, group energy and coaching people look for in a bootcamp — without anyone yelling, and without jumping. Every movement scales to you, and your feet stay on the floor. Read what a senior bootcamp looks like here.
Yes — Active Fit 55+ has no upper age limit. People in their 70s and 80s train alongside people in their 50s, because every movement scales. Balance work can be done with a hand on the wall, dumbbells go as light as you need, and floor exercises have a chair version. Your coach shows you the version that fits you on the day. Where to start with strength training over 60.
Then you’ll have company — that describes a good part of the room. There’s no fitness test and no experience required; your coach starts you at the easiest version of everything, and you move up only when it feels right. Come take the free class before you decide anything. How often should you exercise after 60?
Your safety comes first. Please check with your doctor before starting any new exercise program, and let your coach know about anything they should be aware of — we’ll adjust movements so you can take part comfortably.
Whatever fits your life. Many members find a rhythm of a couple of classes a week, but you set the pace. Consistency — not intensity — is what makes the difference.
